The Craven County Recreation & Parks Department, in cooperation with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, operates two public boat ramps in Craven County. The first is Spring Garden Landing and is located at the end of West Craven Middle School Road, adjacent to West Craven Middle School.  The second is Cowpen Landing, which is located at the end of Cowpen Landing Road, off of River Road near West Craven High School.  Both of these landings are open year-round and offer boating, fishing and picnicking access.  Craven County adopted an ordinance for these two areas, which explains the rules and regulations at these sites.
