Performs wastewater testing for fecal coliforms, total suspended and dissolved solids, biochemical oxygen demand, ammonia, total and ortho phosphorus, pH, chloride and enterococcus. Certified by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Water Quality Laboratory Certification Program. This laboratory is also certified by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Laboratory Services to perform total and fecal coliform testing of drinking water.
Drinking Water Testing
- 24-28 hour presence/absence test for total and fecal coliforms, Method 9223 B., 20th Edition, Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (SM), NC Dept of Health and Human Services, State Laboratory of Public Health, Laboratory Certification, Certificate #37512
- samples accepted 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday except holidays and the days before holidays
- sample bottles and requisition forms available upon request at the Division
- samples tested may be collected from locations in and outside Craven County for purposes of NC Public Water Supply Systems compliance, for private contractors of water line installations and for owners of private wells
