Childhood Lead Poisoning PreventionLead-Safety in Renovation, Repair and Painting Training Courses - The Craven County Health Department Division of Environmental Health is an EPA accredited training provider. Courses are approved for purposes of certification under Section 402 of TSCA. Joint EPA - HUD Curriculum.

Through grant funding from the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Protection through the NC Children's Environmental Health Branch, we have formed a partnership with adjacent counties. The Craven-Jones-Pamlico-Lenoir Lead Poisoning Prevention Partnership not only responds to the needs of identified lead-poisoned children, we additionally strive to prevent children from ever being poisoned in the first place!
Referral Program - Identifies the sources of lead in a poisoned child's environment and offers coordinated clinical case management. Youth Asthma ManagementThrough funding from various grants from several sources, including the United Way of Coastal Carolina, Inc. and the NC Division of Health and Human Services, we address the needs of children with asthma in our community.
The Craven-Pamlico Asthma Coalition - 'Breathing Should Be Easy!' has several programs and projects to help ensure that every child receives quality, consistent care in order to lead productive NO ATTACKS lives. Asthma Management Workshops are held the third Wednesday of each month to help families of children learn how to manage their child's asthma.
Craven-Pamlico Asthma Coalition Meetings are generally held quarterly to plan and implement our community out-reach activities.

Asthma Walk & Health Expo is generally held in the fall.
